A lot of children in rural areas in Ghana are disadvantaged as compared to their urban peers.they lack basic educational learning aids,such as computers,laboratories and even electricity.Some go to school under dangerous structures and some under trees.In some cases,schools have to close and children sent home when it starts raining.As a teacher who have taught in some of these communities,I am deeply touched and it is my desire to try and find a way to help these kids. What worries me most is that these children write the same examination with their urban counterparts,which is unfair.It is therefore not a surprise that the urban children pass and the rural children fail miserably every year.
