I've raised £500 to Celebrate the life of George Wakefield ❤️

Victa Railfreight are supporting George‘s family and friends to raise funds to help celebrate his life, the money raised will go towards funeral expenses and to charity. On Saturday 29th September, George went out on his motorbike in the beautiful area of Glossop in the Peak District, also the place he proudly called home. Spending time with family and friends and on his motorbike were his passions. Later that day he was involved in an accident and sadly passed away in hospital on Tuesday 2nd October. George was an organ donor and his parents bravely honoured his wishes, allowing George to help save others. This is just one example of the remarkable person he was.
George was recommended to us by his Uncle Glynn, he came along to his interview and presented as a happy, confident young lad with a sparkling personality and sense of humour to match. We had no hesitation in offering him employment, as a family run company we knew he would fit in. He sailed through his training and in just a few weeks he settled into the railway life, becoming part of the railway family. Described by his colleagues as polite, keen, knowledgeable, level headed and mature. A pleasure to know as well as work with. His positive outlook and love for life was infectious, as was his smile.
George, you will be forever in our thoughts xxx
