Story

I am creating this fundraiser as I have been given an opportunity to travel to Uganda for 3 weeks to finalise my Midwifery degree and need your help!

I am hoping to go out to Uganda to train and work at hospitals and in the community as part of my degree in midwifery. My services with help educate less advantaged people through developing skills in this role. Uganda is extremely underdeveloped with a high death rate of 443 per 100,000 women dying due to pregnancy and birth in comparison to our country at 9.8 per 100,000. By going over we can help teach women and healthcare staff and help to reduce this shocking rate. My university sponsor is a charity called ‘Knowledge for Change’. This supports medical students to complete placements in underdeveloped countries such as Uganda.

With this opportunity it obviously comes with cost! Which is why I need your help. Along with university I cannot afford to fund it my self and with it being a charity I hope you can help me! Any donations no matter how small will help fund the trip including: flights, accommodation, insurance, hospital placements, uniform, vaccinations for Malaria etc and food and drink. It would mean everything for you to help me and help the women and babies in Uganda!

Ps- if anyone would like to donate through cash or any other way other than the page or at a later date inbox me 💕
