I've seen the good that giving care packages to the homeless can do - with my own eyes I have seen the smiles and warmth it brings those who have been forced to live on the streets.

Maidstone is a nasty place to have to be at night, especially with nowhere to go, and at a time such as Christmas when you're surrounded by people celebrating when you can't.

Today I met a guy on the street who was just trying to sleep, and he couldn't have been more grateful for just a cup of tea. And it broke my heart.

All I want to is just to put together some care packages for these people at Christmas. Items would include; hygiene products, socks, blankets, and gift cards to spend in shops where they can buy food.

I just want them to feel a bit safer at a time like Christmas where everyone should feel loved.
