I've raised £2000 to go towards a memory bench for Jason Hollingworth and Beryl Hudson and to treetops hospice

Jason Hollingworth was a Dad of 8 children which of all 6 will be taking part in this challenging hike. He was very proud of all 8 of his children. November 2014 he feel ill with having a massive amount stomach cramp. This carried on for several months. Till he went to the doctors in the January and got sent of for all different kinds of test. In March his pain got that bad that he could barely move so he took himself of to the hospital this was the first time he stayed in hospital not knowing what was wrong with him. For about a month he was being told something was wrong with his Spleen. Then in April another doctor referred him to the cancer ward in May to 2015 he was told he had pancreatic cancer with weeks left to live. He sadly passed away on the 31st of July. Sadly in the December of Jason’s illness Beryl passed away. So for all their family and friends it was a very hard time and had lost two people with not much time between either of there loss. Some of the children had to get some help during the grieving process. The help they were given was from charity called treetops. Treetops helps all people that have lost someone close to them and are looking for help. They provide different types of counselling to suit the different ages. They do creative, mental, physical ways of counselling in a warm and friendly environment. They also help the odder people by taking them shopping, giving them one to one support and taking the out on day. All just so they can get out of the house. We are doing fundraising, to get a bench up at Whitby Abbey and the other half is going back to treetops to thank them for their hard work and patients they put into getting us back to the people we are now. We are going to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks in August.
Thank you for your support.
