I am heading to Africa to work on two projects for the SAVE Foundation this summer. savefoundation.org.za

SAVE is a registered non-profit organisation that enriches, educates, and empowers township kids, as well as protect and rehabilitate wildlife in 6 African countries.

I will be working on two main projects, both very dear to my heart.

The Adventure Surf Club Project - where I will be helping kids in Cape Learn to learn English and involve them in after school activities to keep them off the streets and away from gangs and their high rate of violence and drug / alcohol abuse. This project gives them a new found confidence and an incentive to do well in school. The project needs the basics we take for granted, such as stationary, toilet facilities and building renovation.

The WildCat Project- where I will be looking after the welfare of over 40 wild African cats in Kimberley. They assist wild cats such as Lions and Cheetahs that cannot be released back in the wild. They are in desperate need of new enclosures to keep them safe as well as maintaining the medical up keep and sufficient food for the animals.

I will be keeping a video diary of my trip and will share my experiences with you. Your contributions, no matter how small, will make an amazing difference to the welfare of these kids and animals as well as the amazing people who work tirelessly to care for and run these projects.
