Considering the advances in India’s healthcare system, the majority of the population still experience poor health. This is due to a lack of awareness on health issues and the simple fact that many Indians cannot afford regular, if any, medical treatment. The medical project ran by PMGY, an award winning volunteering organisation, support and offer free, or highly subsidised, healthcare to local people from slum and rural communities.

I will be travelling to India on the 2nd July 2017 for a month, volunteering with PMGY, in a slum hospital and orphanage.

I have paid for the flights, accommodation and project costs myself. However, I am asking for donations which will go directly to purchasing medical supplies (medication, vaccinations, gloves, scrubs for staff, etc...) and books, arts and crafts and stationary for the children at the Alice in Wonderland Orphanage. Even a couple of pence would go a long way, and be much appreciated!

For the duration of my travels, I will keep everyone updated with pictures so you can see how your donations have been put to use!
