Story
In July and August I will be travelling to Fiji with ThinkPacific charity to empower disadvantaged children and provide them with basic education. I am hoping to make a difference through teaching them maths, english and science as well as more recreational activities such as art and variety of different sports.
For four weeks I will be experiencing authentic Fijian life by living with a Fijian family in one of the remote villages and live in basic conditions, with little access to water, electricity and educational resources.
Think Pacific is helping to educate, provide resources and uplift Fijian children out of poverty. Whilst Fiji may look like paradise, the harsh truth is that over 75% of families live in poverty and 50% of the rural population doesn't has access to safe drinking water. Less than 5% of children have access to early years' education.Think Pacific has already made a 600% increase in sports participation, 15% increase in school attendance and over 60 building projects have been completed.
Any donation at all that can be spared would be immensely appreciated and will help me try make a difference to these statistics of underprivileged children as well as experience a whole new culture and way of life.
THANK YOU!!
