Story
On sunday 20th november georges grandma naomi, lynsey, tom, saul, kai, matt, danielle, scott, abi and chris will be doing a sky dive for george.
Here is georges story:
We had been battling with the doctors since January, explaining George wasn't well and in the end I demanded a referral to the paeds team at Preston. We knew George wasn't well and we honestly thought he had IBD, our little boy was becoming fussier with food, screaming going to the toilet and starting to become tired.
George was seen by the consultant at Preston on the Monday who said he had an enlarged spleen and didn't think it was anything to worry about.
On the Thursday morning we got the dreaded call to say we needed to bring George to Preston childrens ward as they wanted to rule a few things out. We knew at this point it wasn't looking good but never in a million years did I think the consultant was going to be telling me my child had leukaemia.
At this point we scooped our 4 day baby into the car and rushed to nursery to collect George and head up to the ward.
As we waited, we felt every emotion going, George was running around and being his general cheeky self but as the consultant walked into the room and shut the door my heart was in my mouth. At this point she explained she suspected George had T Cell ALL a type of leukaemia, nothing could ever prepare us for this news. She informed us he would go for a chest xray and transferred to Royal Manchester Children's
Hospital for further investigation.
On the Friday the consultants and an entourage of specialist nurses came to see us to confirm George did have leukaemia and would be starting his treatment immediately.
Thank you for reading and please give generously to this anazing little boy.
