I am heading to Cusco, Peru in June for 4 weeks to do some really much needed volunteer work with the local children in the village of Cusco under the charity Globalteer, to provide educational and recreational activities, from English and Maths lessons to Arts and Crafts. I am going with a friend Anita Bickerdike who has also set up a page.

I hope I will be able to contribute in as many ways possible and I believe this trip will be an incredible experience not only because of the gratifying sensation of helping in a foreign and vulnerable country, but also learning more about myself and appreciating what I have.

I look forward to changing someone's life, making children smile and realise their dreams. This experience will definitely change me as a person and I am sure this is only the start of my volunteering career!

The ongoing project is aimed at keeping the children in a safer environment off the streets, and supporting them in their education. If we all work together we can make a massive difference and give the children a chance of a better life.
