Story

in order to celebrate Gerry’s life, and as so many of his friends, family and people who got to know him will not be able to be at his funeral we have decided to start a collection in his memory to raise money for his local Hedge End Medical centre.

We have chosen this charitable organisation because in 2005 he collapsed in the surgery, and the only reason he was saved was that the week earlier someone had donated a defibrillator to the centre. This kind act from someone else gave us another 15 years with our dad and enabled him to see his grandaughter’s grow up into beautiful young ladies.

We don’t expect to raise enough money to buy a defribrilator, but if we could raise something that would make a difference to even just one other family that would be very special, I know that dad would feel very proud.

Thank you to anyone who makes a donation.
