Help Heal Our Hero

Our mum, Grace and step dad Duncan, have been in a serious motorbike accident whilst travelling Thailand. Mum has suffered potentially life changing injuries. She has fractured her spine, punctured both lungs, broken multiple ribs and suffered internal bleeding. She's currently paralysed from her chest down and is need of immediate spinal surgery.

We're asking for help to fund the surgery and transportation fees home as the insurance doesn't cover it all.

The hospital she was admitted to has been able to stabilise her oxygen levels and has had several successful blood transfusions. Unfortunately, the current hospital have done all they can at this stage to help.

Its paramount now, Mum receives decompression spinal surgery so we can assess the damage in full. She has to be moved to a major hospital to have surgery, in the hope that the damage isn't permanent. The sooner we're able to decompress the spine, the greater her chances of recovery.

For those who know our mum well, will know she has a zest for life and this in turn will no doubt be the reason she'll keep fighting. She has already been so brave and strong.

The medical expenses far exceed what our insurance covers, but our determination to bring mum home safely is unwavering. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to that goal.
