    Story

We wanted to come on here and say a massive thank you to all of the amazing, generous and kind people who donated to this amazing young artist, who happens to be an asylum seeker.

The video explains only a small part of the arduous journey he has been on in life.

We are truly touched by all the messages of support - every single person, from the local council, to the local Iranian and Afghan community, and also to the Creative Industry as a whole - every single donation from small to large was vital to getting Taqi to where he is now!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! from the bottom of our hearts, for not only donating to Taqi but for making him feel welcome and supported by such a warm and loving community.

We also have very exciting news...

We raised the money for the first year of university with your support - with no idea how Taqi would be able to do a full degree.

As the deadline was looming for year 1, we couldn’t concentrate on what would happen past that, but we knew that when it came to year 2 and 3, we would have to figure out some way to raise the funds again...

    - Enter Creative Circle -

After reaching out to the incredible Creative Circle Foundation with Taqi’s story, they unanimously opened their arms and brought him in for a warm embrace!

Not only are they offering to match the amount we raised for enrolment and maintenance to cover another year of Taqi’s journey, they are dedicated to sharing his story with other creative agencies and raising the money for his third year of studies too! This means that Taqi will have support for all three years of his BA, not just the first year as we had originally hoped.

The Creative Circle Foundation are an organisation dedicated to helping diverse talent enter the creative industry, helping outsiders get an IN! What an incredible mission and what incredible people, who all wanted to personally offer their advice, support and love to Taqi! Thank you so much! Please visit their page to see the amazing work they do - https://creativefoundation.co.uk/

We are eternally grateful to the Creative Circle, youth group (IYDA), Motel, to the Mayor and local councillors at Royal Borough of Greenwich, the creative, art and music community and all of YOU for giving all your energy and love to Taqi! You are all HEROES!

When we began this journey, we had no idea the response it would have. Motel, an amazing new agency, got the ball rolling with the unbelievably generous offer to cover Taqi’s first term. The support from the local youth, IYDA in Woolwich, was immense. Then with the incredible support from people and companies around THE WORLD, we managed to enroll Taqi into his first year! As the deadline was looming for year 1, we couldn’t concentrate past that, but we knew that when it came to year 2 and 3, we would have to raise the funds again...
