So yesterday, our girl Anna absoltuely SMASHED the Ironman Nice, coming first in her age category and to top it off, qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, this October!!! WHAT A CHAMP! Now, this is INSANE and a once in a lifetime experience, but it's also going to be insanely expensive... Costs add up, with entry, insurance already coming to over £1000. That's without accommodation (which is extortionate out in Hawaii) and flights (currently £1300), bike transport and all the other nitty gritty things you don't think about! She had no intentions of comepeteing at the world championships when signing up for Nice but just surviving the race, but now that she has the opportunity, we sure know she is going to take it. A few of us were discussing and thought it would be great idea to contribute a little to help her on her way. Just a small gesture to show her how immensely proud of her accomplishments we are and to give her added motivation to do us all proud in Hawaii. ☺️.
