In April 2017 I will be following God's call for me to serve his people! I will fly to Durban, South Africa with Soul Survivor for ten days to serve the local community and work on different projects. One particular place I am looking forward to visiting is LIV Village, which is home to hundreds of orphaned and vulnerable children. These children are given a home, a foster mother, an education and most importantly they are encouraged and supported in finding their place in the world.

This year twenty of the children from LIV Village toured the UK and inspired many by performing as part of an (incredibly talented!) choir and shared the story of their home. God truly spoke to and touched my heart when I saw their powerful performance (so much so that I cried throughout due to an overwhelming sense of pride!) I have the desire to help those who feel helpless, to show love to those who feel unloveable and to reach those deemed to be unreachable. I thoroughly believe that I will be able to learn how to do so through this short yet meaningful trip.
