I've raised £150 to give Colin (Mcr Big Issue Vendor) a well earned weekend break to Blackpool and to support Big Issue North.

Last year Manchester Big Issue vendor - Colin went to Blackpool for a holiday for the 1st time in two years, thanks to the generosity of people here.
Like many people, Colin's bills have gone up. But due to a drop in footfall on his two pitches (Oxford Road and HOME, First Street) he is selling less magazines than he used to and therefore - making less money.
“It was great to have a break and just walk along the beach and get some fresh sea air."
If Colin could return to Blackpool for just two days this Summer, the impact would be huge. Read about last year's surprise holiday in Colin's words here. He returned to work with a huge smile on his face. He walked on the beach, visited his favourite cafe, and sang some songs at a local karaoke bar.
Colin is a true grafter - he works most Bank Holiday weekends, stands in all weathers and sets himself sales targets, gives tourists directions, helps friends out and he is really well known in Manchester.
Please give whatever you can to enable him to visit his favourite seaside town for two days. As soon as he feels that sand between his toes, he feels alive again. Colin's favourite hotel is just £70 for two nights, including breakfast.
Any money raised above this amount up to £130 will go towards his spending money.
And anything above £130 will be donated to Big Issue North, as they support Colin on a daily basis and do great work with other vendors and raising awareness of homelessness and poverty.
If you cannot contribute, I understand. Can you please share this page with any Manchester friends instead?
Thank you.
