Story
Sadly as you are aware, Jon Paul passed away on Sunday after a long battle with cancer in Reunion Island. Thankfully the insurance company are going to pay the full costs to repatriate him back to Glasgow.
We also find ourselves stuck in the middle of a civil strike on the island, no government buildings are open, shops are closed and buses are not running. Roads in and out of city’s are blocked by protesters, riots have broken out and buildings and cars are being set on fire. Because the town hall is closed, we have been unable to get the death certificate needed to allow the repatriation process to begin. Craig cannot leave the island until this paperwork is complete, and we’re expecting this to last until next week.
The travel insurance company are not going to cover Craig whilst he is stuck on the Island, and after paying the final medical costs, now needs to find the money to pay for hotel cost and his flight home.
We thank everyone who donated to try and get Jon Paul home, your generosity was amazing, but we still need to get Craig back, and we’re asking for people to support one last push.
Thank you all in advance
