    Story

Hello pals! After auditioning in Edinburgh in February, I have been accepted to take part in the National Youth Theatre's Epic Stages course this summer. I am absolutely overjoyed at the chance to dive into an intensive month-long course in London and be taught and seen by top industry professionals. What a dream!

I moved over to the UK in the hope of opportunities such as this to arise and to be honest it has happened a lot sooner than I anticipated. I cannot think of anything better than working in theatre, creating accessible and exciting art, without the setback of financial constraints. I threw myself into drama classes at university, without any training from school, alongside my history degree. This allowed me to see that I want to perform and write for a living. Since university I have written and performed in two comedy shows, in Perth and Edinburgh, both of which I am incredibly proud of. With dedication, this step with the National Youth Theatre will give me the space to create more performances for you to see as I grow as an artist!

I have been working full-time as a waitress (classic actor's story, surely) and do not have sufficient savings to survive the course without an income. The course requires the commitment of six full days per-week, thus placing me in the position where I will be unable to earn an income. I am currently applying for various bursaries and scholarships to fund my living expenses whilst on the course, however I need your help to assist in the cost of the course itself! I am looking to raise at least £400 to cover a margin of the £989 course fee.

Being accepted into the National Youth Theatre on my first attempt after auditioning with 5000 others is truly such a privilege and I am amazed that I have gotten this far. Thank you for taking the time to read this and honestly any donation will help me massively!
