Story

Hello, my name is Caroline Faithfull and I swim for the Great Britain Down Syndrome Swimming Association. I have been swimming nationally and internationally since 2012 and really enjoy swimming for my country. This year I attended the European championships and won both gold, silver and bronze medals!

I am 23 years old and have Down Syndrome. This does not stop me from achieving my goals and I am currently the Great Britain squad captain for my team. I training 3 or 4 times a week to be able to get the times to go to Nova Scotia, Canada in July 2018. This is a 6 day event and I will be swimming in the freestyle and backstroke events.

I am asking for your help to get me to Canada. There is no external funding to support me to do this so I have to fund it all myself, including accommodation and flights. I would love to be able to represent my country in Canada and I am training so hard to achieve this goal. All I need now is your support and donations to get me there and hopefully I will bring back some medals.

Thank you for reading my story and if you could help in any way I would be so grateful.

Caroline :)
