Our lovely friend Olly is ill.

Two years ago he went into rehab for Drug and Alcohol addiction after 15 years of abuse. Recently, after two years of slowly getting his life back together and after his best friends stag do he relapsed. For all of us that love him we just want him to shake this addiction and get into a state where he can get some counselling and learn to love and respect himself as much as all of his closest friends and family do.

We all know life is hard, and we all have to pull together to make each other happy and the world a better place. Olly is one of the most intelligent funny and caring individuals you could want to meet, he has an insatiable appetite for politics and ardent defender of human rights and social healthcare.It is perhaps ironic therefore that we ask for money to get him into rehab rather than rely on the NHS. Unfortunately the NHS I fear would only admit him when it could be too late. The NHS's resources are stretched in recent years and mental health and addiction have been some of the hardest areas hit.

We have managed to negotiate a place for Olly at the rehab centre he attended two years ago. The treatment programme is excellent and I honestly feel like with one more bout of abstinance and treatment he could fight this terrible illness and get his life back on track.

I can't explain how sad it is to look into the eyes of a self loathing addict with so much to offer the world. If you can spare a few pounds we are trying to raise this money in the next two weeks to confirm his place and get him much needed help.

I would also like to encourage you to leave a personnel message, especially if you know Olly, as he honestly doesn't understand how much people love him and we hope as well as the money this would be an opportunity for people to express your support.
