Please help us raise money to run our summer programme for children living in poverty and deprivation. It is known that children living in poverty are more at risk of failing in school, for many different reasons. Statistics show that across the country there are 1 in 5 children living in poverty, in Southend there are 1 in 4 children living in poverty. That's more then we have in the country which means there's a need. Our summer programme will be charged at £1 donation a day for these children to attend from 10-4, 5 days a week to take part in a variety of course from art, drama, music, film, fashion etc they will be provided with a lunch and snack throughout the day. The aim of this course is to help reduce the amount of children getting caught up in crime, to keep them safe, to help them make a positive contribution, to help improve their economic wellbeing and to build a bridge between fun and education. We have created a qualification for all participants to receive on completing their course which will be recognised by OCR.
We have teamed up with two schools who have given us use of there premises for the duration of the programme. We really need support to run this course, please help by donating if you can anything as little as you can as every penny makes a difference, this could change the lives of so many children.

Many people have no sympathy for those in poverty but a child doesn't have a choice, if we can make a change let us.
