Weʼre raising £2,500 to go to Austin, Texas to record an album of original Tom Fairnie songs in the studios of Grammy award winning producer Merel Bregante

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

Tom Fairnie is a 68 year old singer/songwriter from Edinburgh, Scotland. He's been writing songs since he was 13 but only started performing when he was 50. He's released 4 solo, self financed albums which have been extremely well received. Tom has been incredibly supportive of his fellow musicians both as a promoter and events organiser. He's now received a very generous offer from Grammy award winning producer Merel Bregante from his studio in Austin, Texas to record an album of Tom's songs.
Tom will fund his own travel and accommodation costs but needs to pay local world class session musicians to record with him plus studio and production costs. Tom will fund as much of these as he possibly can but this will fall far short of the final sum, hence this crowd funding.
Any contribution you can give will go a long way to fulfilling a lifetime ambition and you will receive a copy of the completed album.

    Update from the Page owner

We're almost 2/3rds of the way there. Although I'm funding my own travel and accommodation costs I still need to pay session musicians, to fund studio time and production costs so every donation brings my dream closer.
