Story

I had a love of mountains from a young age. Growing up in the Lakes it was something I took for granted. This all changed when sustaining a high level spinal injury falling from my bike in July 2012.

Saturday July 28th I got to the top of Helvellyn in a wet wheelchair.

Successfully scaling Mount Snowdon in the same wheelchair last summer people are already asking about Ben Nevis.

The wet and heroic journey started from Patterdale at 10am on Saturday 28th of July. The challenge certainly wasnt easy but rewarding.

The task ahead was a real team effort. Given all the nice weather we didnt expect what confronted us.

An amazing amount of money was raised which I can only thank you for. Currently the total stands around £5200.

All monies raised will go towards supporting the much needed community projects of improving Grasmere and Greenbank parks.
