I’m helping support my Dad & Aunt with a fundraising effort for building a new Hospital.

My Dad lived in a small village called Okorase in Ghana. When his parents retired, they chose to build their retirement home there as it was the nearest place to a farm which his Mum inherited. The Okorase village had traditionally lacked the basic resources and facilities, for example there were no schools, pipe born water, electricity and medical facilities. His Parents did a lot, in their time of living there, to help assist and support the local community.

Since my grandparents past away and all their children have moved abroad, the house has been left unoccupied apart from a caretaker. My Dad and Aunt have therefore made a decision to offer freely their family home to a charitable organisation and convert the building into a mission house and build a clinic attached for the use and benefit of the people of the village.

Unfortunately babies still die at birth and the sick have no access to medical treatment as the nearest clinic/hospital is several miles away. We are trying our best to raise between £30,000 to £50,000 to support this project. Doctors from all over the world have voluntarily offered their free services to support this project and are prepared to travel to Okorase in Ghana to treat the sick.

The money is required to help build and equip the clinic with medical equipment, facilities and resources. Jacobs Well will kindly support the project with medication. I am sure with your support we will make his parents (my grandparents) proud knowing that the home where they lived has been put to such incredible and life changing use. We really appreciate any support you can give us.
