I've raised £3000 to buy much needed equipment for the Gillis Ward (Dementia unit) in St Lukes Hospital

We would like to raise money in order to buy equipment for the Gillis Ward in St Luke's hospital. The patients within this ward have Dementia which is an awful illness which affects people in different ways. Some of the patients can no longer talk, some can no longer walk, some can no longer feed themselves or do any activities. Really what they need are wheelchairs and other equipment which will aid the families and nurses of the patients. For some patients in there the disease has affected them so much that all they can do it sit there. What I would like to do is raise enough money in order to buy some motorised wheel chairs so that the families are able to take their relatives outside for a walk, it is quite hilly around the Gillis Ward so normal Wheelchairs are difficult to push around. This would improve the quality of life for the patients as they would be able to get out of the unit more frequently and be able to enjoy the nature around them.
