Sam Freeman has been selected to represent Great Britain in the U17 European Fencing Championships in Foggia, Italy in February 2019. Sam has been fencing for only 4 years and is now ranked #3 in Great Britain and #2 in Scotland. Selection for the Great Britain team is a fantastic achievement and the European Championships is one of the most prestigious events in the world for the U17 fencer second only to the World Championships in April 2019. All of Sam's competitions are self funded and his participation in the European Championships will only be possible if he can raise the funds required.
