I've raised £1000 to Get Kids Going! / ADD (ADHD) Norfolk

Dear Friends
I’m taking part in my first half marathon this coming Sunday 8th October, running through some of London's Royal Parks, including, Hyde Park, Green Park, and St James Park in the London Royal Parks 2017 Half Marathon. The charities I raising awareness for are Get Kids Going and ADD/ADHD Norfolk. I’ll send an update on how the day (and day after) went, with a confirmation of the total money raised by my taking part. Your support along the route is also most welcome if you're up in town.
Now back to the training.........
Get Kids Going! is a national charity supporting sport and mobility for disabled children up to the age of 26 – giving the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport. It provides specially built sports' wheelchairs, enabling them to do: athletics, marathons, tennis, skiing, curling, rugby, sailing, basketball, snowboarding, table tennis and much more. Its president is Lord Sebastian Coe and David Weir is Vice President.
ADD Norfolk (ADHD Norfolk) https://addnorfolk.com
'ADD Norfolk' is a support network for anyone affected by ADHD/ADD in Norfolk (including grandparents, adults, teachers). It is run by an amazing, forward thinking group of people based near Norwich.
Living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder/Attention Deficit Disorder, had a negative impact on my life for many years. ADHD/ADD affects learning, socialization, self-esteem, organizational skills, relationships, and much more. With hard work, and staying power from friends and family (that's you!), I have found happiness and am turning this into success. I am raising the profile of ADHD/ADD, educating people about the affect this has on people's lives, removing prejudices and empowering those affected, with support of partners, family, friends and employers to seek help. 'You Mean I'm not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?' by Kate Kelly and Peggy Ramundo. For anyone you love, who may find happiness and success eluding them, I cannot recommend this book enough!
