Hi it’s Gilly. I have never done this before so please bare with me on this. I am currently in the Queen Elizabeth where i have been for the past fifteen months. Six months of that was spent bed bound staring at four walls. Prior to this i was bed bound at my grans through covid lockdown. It took months of physical therapy before i was able to get hoisted into my chair and felt freedom for the first time in years. Since October my chair has been my only freedom from the monotony of this hospital room. My current electric wheelchair has unfortunatly had multiple faults and has had to go in for repair ten days ago. This means that for the past 8 days I’ve hired a chair at £70 per four days. I can no longer keep up the payments so it ultimately leaves me bed bound yet again. I have been given a estimate for the price of the repair and due to it being the control panel and battery its going to cost me £800 to get back.

I’m devastated I can’t afford it. Starting fundraising isn’t something I’d normally do, but desperate times call for desperate measures. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
