I've raised £150 to raise money for Kathleen!

I never thought people like me ran anywhere. Except maybe to get to the buffet first.
This is about showing that I can.
A little over a year ago I started on a journey to make some big changes. To my body shape, my fitness and my health. I can now cycle, I can swim and I can understand how to use the machines of torture found in most gyms. I actually enjoy it a little (ssh). Running though was the stuff of legend, something that only sticks could do and that was completely impossible for me.
Except it isn't, and it's about time I proved it. To myself as much as to anyone else. So, I am doing the Quayside 5km on Wednesday, 15th August. Which should give me enough time for Sarah Millican to get me running! #couchto5k
So, what do I want your money for? Earlier this year a colleague started on her own journey, one that she had absolutely no choice in. So what better incentive for me to take part in this madness than for Kathleen, whose story is here:

KATHLEEN'S STORY - Kathleen Maher 46 years old collapsed suddenly at home on 17th February and was admitted to hospital where she was diagnosed with influenza B pneumonia and sepsis. She has been in hospital now for 13 weeks and as a result of the infections she has had quadruple amputations of her feet and hands. She now requires months of rehabilitation in a specialised facility.
Please dig deep. If not for me then to help Kathleen on her own journey. I'm lucky enough to be able to do this.
