Story
During the Covid-19 Pandemic Cllr Susan Emery and Cllr Graham Friend set up a food bank for the community of the Poulton with Fearnhead Parish, in Warrington. They recruited a team of volunteers from across Warrington who had been furloughed.
When we weren't able to run the food bank from the local community center as the council wouldn't allow this, the owner if the local pub and restaurant The Station House, Padgate, Chris let us use his premises to house the food bank. Once the pub could opened, he now provides us with a portacabin in the pub car park where we now run the food bank from. And with the support from Rylands Sharks ARLFC and Greencore with the kind donations and fundraising.
This team of wonderful individuals have been accepting food donations and have been preparing and delivering food parcels to people in need. But with the pandemic still happening we still need all the support we can to raise funds to help feed people who are struggling during this time. Thank you for reading.
