For my fiftieth year, I'm raising money for three causes.

I have chosen Yasmin's volunteering expedition to Nepal in Summer 2019, for the Reiki in the Community Group and the Soil Association. £1000 will be going towards Yasmin's trip and 50% of the balance will go to each of the other two causes (but please note that all monies raised at the Zumbathon on 9 February 2019 will go towards Yasmin's trip).

I chose firstly to fundraise for my daughter Yasmin's expedition to Nepal in Summer 2019. This is a once in a lifetime experience for her and 13 school mates where they will be helping in a project to rebuild a school in an area devastated by earthquake in 2015, as well as visiting a national park and other beautiful areas

I chose the Reiki in the Community Group because I feel strongly about how they (we) are all unpaid volunteers, giving up their time to better the lives of people in poorer communities in Aberdeen and ultimately spreading the Reiki love and making the world a better place. I’d love this money to go towards a retreat for the volunteers (and i will pay my own share).

The Soil Association are an important choice for me as buying organic, local produce is a focus i’ve had for many years and this charity is leading the way in supporting this choice for us all, helping us reach our goal of being an organic and environmentally-focussed planet.
