Story

Tracy was made homeless about 18 months ago when her partner lost the tenancy of his house. She is now living on the streets in Manchester and spends rhe days sitting outside a bank. She raises money to pay for her day to day needs by selling bracelets that she makes herself and by writing and selling poems. Her poems describe her feelings as a homeless person. By night she lives in a tent hidden away in the centre of Manchester and slept out throughout the cold winter we experienced this year.

Terry, Emma and I heard about Tracy and went to see her. We would like to help her by trying to get a small book of her poems published. This would raise some money to help her start to rebuild her life but would also help other homeless people by raising awareness of their plight and in particular the emotional impact it has on them.

We do not yet know how much it will cost to produce a booklet but any extra that we raise will go directly to the organisations in Manchester that help the homeless.

All donatioms however small will help.
