Gillyan is 18 and lives in Cumbernauld. As a first year student at Strathclyde University studying English, Creative Writing and Journalism, Gillyan is enjoying her teenage years. Not only is she a highland dancer she also does ballet and is learning to drive. Having a birth condition called Symbrachydactly doesn’t stop her from doing all the things she enjoys but it does make tasks harder. With the ever developing growths in technology Gillyan and her family have just discovered that she could purchase a bionic hand which would help make everyday tasks easier and giver her more confidence.

Gillyan tiene 18 años y vive en una ciudad próxima a Glasgow llamada Cumbernauld. Estudia el primer año de periodismo en Glasgow. Además es bailarina. Baila tanto las danzas tradicionales escocesas como ballet y está aprendiendo a conducir. A pesar de haber nacido con una peculiaridad llamada “Simbraquidactilia”, no ha parado de hacer todo lo que le gusta, aunque sí ha dificultado sus rutinas.
