My beautiful friend Lada came to the uk in 2003 to try and escape a violent husband and inflation in Russia. She is a degree educated woman with a gorgeous daughter, now 17, who is a typically British girl. Lada is now British. She speaks English, wants to work but is not allowed without her permit. She CANNOT claim benefits. She has survived on friendship and love and assistance. The £3,400 we are trying to fund is for government fees for Aliona and Lada to have their application processed. At times like this we are all world citizens!!!
