DUKE

This is a personal appeal for help. I run Shar Pei Rescue Scotland and we have seen some horrendous sights - this boy just touched my heart.

Abandoned in a public kill shelter in Serbia I was asked over a month ago if I could help this boy. I sourced a fantastic rescue space for DUKE in Scotland so asked our wonderful foster Natasa Seme is she would "pull" him from the shelter. Natasa called the shelter and was told that he had been adopted. Sadly over a month later we found out that he was still there. We wasted no time and Natasa and her husband Toni "pulled" him yesterday and he is now safe and in our care.

An immediate trip to the vet was next. DUKE had all his bloods done and thankfully there are clear other than he has Demodex and is malnourished weighing in at only 29 Kilos which is roughly HALF the weight he should be.

DUKE will need to be vaccinated, chipped, Titer tested, neutered and made ready for travel to his brand new life in the UK. He will need to be on a good diet for the next 3 months and have regular vet checks to ensure that his health is improving and the Demodex has responded to treatment.

I have already paid DUKE'S residence costs but I need help to get him fit and well and on his way to a safe happy life
