    Story

Ginny was given to us, originally as a foster dog, as she was being left on her own for many hours a day. We know very little about her background but know she has been advertised for sale on websites, used for breeding and kept outside. When we got her we realised all was not well. Her breathing is terrible and we discovered that her eyesight and hearing is very poor.

Our vet wanted to put her to sleep but we feel that Ginny deserves a chance at a happy life. We think she is probably around 5 or 6 years old. She can manage with limited sight and hearing but she can not live without breathing.

An operation can be done to remove soft tissue and widen her nostrils. We have been quoted £1500 - £2000. The operation has severe risks.
This is all due to poor breeding. People have bred her to make money from her and not in her best interest. Her face is so flat that her nose goes in rather than out. Her wrinkles are so big that they have reduced her air ways, ear canals and rubbed her eyes causing scar tissue. She may look cute, but please think about this before you buy a pug or any dog.

Within hours of bringing Ginny home, we all fell in love with her. We can not take the chance of her going anywhere else and not being treated with the care she deserves. Despite the pain she must have been in and neglect (at best) she is the most loving, loyal dog anyone could wish for. She has had so many cuddles and kisses from us and total strangers and she loves every minute of it. Her tail is perfect and wags all the time.

Please help us by contributing to her operation, righting the wrongs that people have created and giving Ginny the best possible life for however long she has left.
