Since i was a very young boy i have wanted to become an airline pilot. As a child i used to frequently fly backwards and forwards between the uk and italy to see my family, and it was then i was first inspired by flight. Unfortunately since the terrorist attacks in recent years and rising costs of flight training it has become almost inaccessible to the everyday person with a passion to become a pilot. Because of this its still very much a job thats achievable only with huge financial support from family. I am not in a position of wealth and neither are my family. Im not bitter because of this, if anything it makes me angry that many people like me are experiencing similar issues.I want to do this to prove to myself and to everyone that you dont have to be amongst the elite to fly. And i do believe that airlines should offer more sponsorships. Right now my only chance is to go through a flight school based here in the uk. If i come up with the funds i have a shot at achieving my life long dream in just 18 months. At the moment i am going through a difficult time in my life dealing with anxiety issues which i believe stem from a feeling of dissatisfaction i have with the way things have been going. Im.26 and still not where i want to be and at the moment without help i fear i will never get to where i need to be.
