Girls Allowed - Supporting Women In Bristol are a constituted community group within the BS13 area of Bristol.
Their committee of women are from all areas across South Bristol in which they all bring unique skills and knowledge to the team, offering better support to women who attend their social groups and evening events.
Girls Allowed host a range of events and groups to supply women with the appropriate opportunities to engage with others, make friends and connect through experiences.
Girls Allowed host monthly evening events for women to enjoy a range of entertainment from live singers to psychics and comedians, DJ's, Drag acts and more.
Coffee mornings are also currently offered for FREE within the BS13 and BS4 areas of bristol for those with young children to attend if they struggle with childcare. A brand new concept of a support circle is the newest addition to Girls Allowed - Supporting Women In Bristol which is held in the BS3 area, this group offers women a chance to come along for free, engage in breathing techniques, speak openly and freely about their worries, stress or concerns and to gain further advice, signposting and support from others all within a relaxing and judgement free environment.
To date, women have attended Girls Allowed events solo and have made lifelong friends, improving isolation and loneliness and increasing their self-esteem, confidence and tackling any anxieties they may have which has been incredible to watch first hand.
Girls Allowed signpost for all conditions, complications and circumstances including, Cancers, Bereavement, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health conditions, Long term conditions such as menopause, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, arthritis, dementia and more. No condition or complication is discriminated against or off limits.
Girls Allowed strongly believe that creating an empowering community of women can make a huge difference to how women live their day to day lives and how they respond and cope with challenges they are faced with.
