Hi, my name is Kas, and on the 29th of March I will sleep on the streets in Manchester to raise money and awareness for a charity event for homeless people.

I am part of a group of 4 university students in Manchester who are hosting a non-profit charity event on the 2nd of April

In January 2023, the number of homeless people in Manchester was 7,407. By December 2024, statistics from Shelter suggest this number to be 16,500 with half of this number being children. Homelessness is a crisis and communities are not receiving the support they need from local councils and government. That is why as a group we have decided to host a hybrid music event to raise as much awareness and resources as we can to support the homeless.

I've decided to sleep outside to better my understanding of how it feels to not have a roof over your head. I understand that my experience of one night in Manchester will not accurately reflect what it means to be homeless but I wanted to step outside my comfort zone in hopes it would inspire and motivate others to donate.

All money generated from this page will be invested into the charity event on 2nd of April 2025 and any additional funds raised will be sent directly to a charity fund
