A personal story for someone I don't even know. A child's Mum is homeless. It doesn't matter who the child is, it doesn't matter who the Mum is, it doesn't matter why, what matters is help is needed.

For the child, social services is good, she's now in foster care in a warm home, safe and sound. For the Mum, things aren't so good, she's living on the street and struggling. She may not be perfect, I don't really know, but the fact is a woman needs help and adult services are slow to respond, if at all. So I'm asking my lovely friends for a couple of pounds so I can at least help her for Christmas anonymously. Then anything more than that, I'm going to give to Shelter. My Christmas Card money this year is going to Shelter too (if you want to donate the money you would spend on my Christmas card, that would be great). Everyone deserves a safe place to sleep.
