Story

I am doing the 3 Peak Challenge this November. The 3 Peak Challenge is climbing/hiking the 3 highest peaks in the UK inside 24hrs. Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales. There is 480 miles of driving involved in this challenge which takes up a lot of the time. My cousin Jack who has done the challenge inside the 24 hrs has agreed to do it with me and be my guide. I am doing it to raise money for Teen Challenge Whitchester House which is a Christian residential rehabilitation programme. As one of 6 centres across the UK Whitchester House can accommodate a maximum of 26 men at one time with the programme lasting a minimum of 11 months. The programme is very structured throughout the day and residents take part in many activities including cooking, cleaning and working on the grounds, aimed at helping them eventually integrate back into society. It is the goal of Teen Challenge to help men become mentally sound, physically well, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted and spiritually alive. As Teen Challenge is a charity that relies completely on donations from the public we are always looking for ways to raise money to reach as many people as possible. This is an amazing charity that personally helped me from a place of darkness and helped me work through life controlling issues. I came to Teen Challenge Willoughby House in 2015 and completed both the 11 month programme and the Teen Challenge Leadership Academy. In April of this year I started working full time for Teen Challenge Whitchester House. Please come alongside me and support this challenge for an amazing charity that's mission statement is "putting hope within reach of every addict."
