Story

This weekend (16th June) also aptly on Father’s Day I will be taking on my first Half Ironman - Wild Boar 70.3 in memory of my beautiful daughter Amber, who passed away suddenly in her sleep August last year. Following this Half Ironman 2 weeks later; I will also be completing a 100 mile ride with some close friends inclusive of Amber’s godfather on the 30th June, a few days after what would have been her 3rd Birthday.

Amber was a beautiful, cheeky little girl who brought us so much joy. Following her death we have created a foundation in her name ‘The Amber Townson Foundation’ (registered charity number: 1208420) to support the prevention of Sudden Death In Childhood, also referred to as SUDC. Sudden death in childhood is the 4th leading cause of death in childhood and most commonly affects 1-4 year olds. Sadly, the cause is unknown and funding for further research is needed to prevent this happening to more children.

No donation is too small, any amount would be greatly appreciated.

 Thank you,

 Glen.
