I am once again running the Great North Run this year and building on all the successes and good vibes of last year, I am trying to raise money for Cheesy Waffles Project based in County Durham.

The project runs out of Belmont and is primarily aimed at Children and Young People that have learning difficulties and disabilities. The group helps develop their social skills, takes them on activities and also helps to provide them with valuable life skills which will hopefully allow them to find their way in life....something we are all trying to do?

I have seen first hand the impact the project can have on young people as one of my family members has been going to the group for a number of years and loves being involved in the activities...especially the annual summer and winter performances which I have to admit put amateur dramatics to shame!
