    Story

Hi, my name is Glenn and I'm in need of some help. Any help or advice will be much appreciated. I have recently been made homeless and my world has fallen apart. I lived with my wife and 3 dogs and when I lost my job I could no longer afford to pay the rent. We were not entitled to any help from the government as my wife was still working so we just plodded on surviving the best we could until the rent arrears built up and we were finally evicted, I tried everything possible with the courts to stop this but nothing worked. Once homeless we asked for help again but have been told that because we have no children or disabilities they can only provide us with hostel phone numbers. When we rang the hostels we were told we could not be housed together as the hostels are mainly used for people with drug/alcohol dependencies or people just released from prison.. We were then told that no pets were allowed in any hostels anyway, we have 3 big dogs which we class as our children and are heartbroken at the idea would have to send them to rescue centres. We rescued the dogs ourselves when they were puppies. We have no family or friends that are available to help. We are lost and have no idea what to do, we have never been in this situation before so how do we cope and continue as a family. We got some advice and was told that our only option was to split the family and send the dogs somewhere or find a private landlord willing to take us all. We have found one!! We were so excited that we could stay together until we were told the fees and money that was needed upfront came to nearly £1400. My wife is a childminder and after expenses brings in £150 per week, I am looking for work every day and still can't get any financial help as apparently we earn over the limit. It's a right mess, we didn't know we could claim working tax credits so have filled in that paperwork but have to wait a month for any decisions. This is definitely not a sob story and lots of people will be far wors
