Story

This year I have decided to run the Birmingham Half Marathon to raise money for St Laurence Infant Schools Parent Teacher Association (PTA)
As a parent to two boys who attend St Laurence I see first hand the importance and benefits the children get from the funds raised by the PTA.
The PTA is made up by a small number of dedicated parents and teachers giving their time and energy to fundraising and working in partnership with the school.
The PTA combines fundraising with providing great opportunities to enable parents, staff and pupils to come together in a social setting such as the year group discos.
Funds raised by the PTA have previously been used to provide 'extras' and 'fun things' not provided by the school’s main income however, with Government cuts and decreasing school budgets the funds raised by the PTA is essential in not only providing 'fun things' but has been used over recent times to help fund playtime equipment, iPads and more recently school reading books.
I see first hand how the funds raised and events organised makes a real difference to the school and the children that attend St Laurence.

Any donations, no matter how small, will help and be greatly appreciated

Thanks
Glenn
