Meet Glitter Chicken. We picked him up at the end of June in a sorry state. A fractured skull, wounded eye, bleeding from his ear and abrasions in his thoat. He’s been on extensive pain relief and antibiotics, the best of food, vet care and lots of TLC but he’s reached the end of the road and now needs surgery to remove what is left of his eye as he is suffering with his breathing due to fluid build up, general discharge and deep set infection that will not budge. This will cost approximately £370 and comprises: an x-ray, surgery & medication. He stands a good chance of recovery as he is otherwise a healthy boy but if this isn’t addressed, he will always be in discomfort & pain, and ultimately have to be PTS. Anyone who rescues pigeons (or any animal) will know how costs stack up & we’ve already spent £hundreds on his care, so we are asking you kind people for help with this little guy, he’s truly been through so much & deserves another chance at life.

We are just like you - people who can’t walk past an animal and leave them to suffer. We take them into our hearts and homes but this little one has emptied our pockets!
