FEED THE FASTING RAMADAN 2023/1445

For Ramadan this year the Algerian charity Chich Dir El Khir are distributing Ramadan food packs in four different Algerian isolated areas that are often overlooked: Naama, Mecheria, Aïn Séfra, Khenchela

The objective is to raise 500 packs for 500 different families. Each food pack will contain elements such as chorba, pasta, pulses (dried edible seeds of legumes), chicken, semolina, coffee, couscous, tomatoes, flour, rice, sugar, oil..etc.

Each food pack will cost 4000 DA which is equivalent to £25.

By providing them with food packs to last them through Ramadan this will give them the chance to concentrate on the benefits and rewards of fasting without the worry of their meals for Suhoor and Iftar.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever feeds a fasting person will earn the same reward as him without diminishing in any way the reward of the fasting person.”

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also said: “whoever feed hungry and a fasting person will be compensated with forgiveness of sins and salvation of his soul from Hell”

The suffering is real, whilst the rewards are multiplied.
