Story

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) is excited to announce plans to repaint four 1960s MK1 coaches into the British Rail Blue and Grey livery, which was seen through our stations until the line closed in 1976. This restoration will not only preserve a significant piece of railway history, but also allow future generations of railway enthusiasts to experience this classic design.

We’ve already identified the coaches, and now we need your help to fund this exciting project. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering the costs of the repainting and ensuring that these coaches are restored to their former glory, offering a nostalgic journey through the Cotswolds for all to enjoy.

With your support, we can bring this important piece of railway heritage back to life. Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference.

Donate today and help us preserve a slice of railway history!

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to welcoming you aboard soon!
