    Story

My late father (Glyn Jones) has passed away in Turkey. We are raising funds to help get his body back to the UK. For anyone who didn't know Glyn, he was a generous individual, who spent his life helping others. In his younger days he was the life and soul of the party! And spent many of nights in The Bush pub in Silverdale. He would do anything for anybody! He had such a kind heart! He was a good man, my hero and a wonderful father to me, Joanne, Julie and Caroline. He was also a loved brother to William, John and Trevor.

He was a man who loved his food, he would always be the first one up at a buffet and the last one there! The kettle was always on 50 times a day for his many brews throughout the day!

Just under 2 years ago, he decided to move to Turkey to spent out his retirement with a woman he wanted to start a new life with, within the couple of years he's had his bank account drained, all of his direct debits were cancelled and he spent these 2 years alone due to being locked up in the daytimes by his so-called girlfriend, his new life had become a bit of a nightmare, his mental health began to decline and his body seemed to become weaker. It appeared that he was living in a toxic relationship with a woman who was out to control him. Despite my best efforts by getting the police involved, social services and the embassy, we couldn't quite save him. I was due to go out and visit him in 2 weeks, but never got to him in time 😢.

As you can imagine, myself and family are devastated 💔. He spent his final weeks alone, scared and isolated from his family as we were cut off from talking to him; we are beyond heart broken, I wish I got to say goodbye, but that was taken away from me /us. Hope you're now with your mum now dad (Connie) and the rest of your brothers (John & William). Rest in peace you beautiful man, my hero, my dad. I love you forever and always and I'm so sorry I couldn't be there for you 💔.
