    Story

Hi to all page visitors. Sport is a great way to keep young minds of today focussed on achieving goals, building up stamina and resilience. Great Marlow School has a great Boat Club training regularly on the Thames and last year had a fantastic end to the season with some International Gold in July 2018. This year, we have a hitch in a plans whereby some critical launch boat engines have been stolen. The launch boats are used by the coaches to support and coach the rowers. They are not motor/pleasure craft and are essential for the safe running of the rowing teams aged 12-18. The insurance cover is limited due to the mobile nature of the equipment, which we have to consider in future replacement purchase. We are launching this crowd fund to get up back to square one and ensure the students rowing training is not impacted, which is current state as this is a prime training period. We would be very grateful for and individual donations, or on behalf of a company. We can provide local press coverage where appropriate. Happy to take questions on this thread or personally on email. We are a registered Charity - Great Marlow Swans - Many thanks for your support...

A brief update that in conjunction with 2 other events, namely an afternoon Cream Tea (£1,000), Our Regatta BBq at Olympic Venue Dorney Lake (£975) and other non JG donations £400, we are 3/4s to our target.... but we haven't stopped. However we have one engine ready to go... Thank you so so much for everyone's generosity, but its not to late to share to close the gap ti target... watch local press shortly....

Hi Everyone.. So we reached £950 after 5 days, and at this rate, I am hopeful we can enter May very near our target. As always, I appreciate very much how we all have a call on our purses and wallets at any time of the year, alongside the school requests and our own personal pursuits.. Of course this equipment lose was unexpected, and therefore options left mean cast nets wider than the rowing community. Fingers crossed we cross some major milestones shortly..
